Hi mummies, let me know if you heard of this theory and whether it is true. Usually when I breastfeed my baby on one side, I would place the Haakaa on the other side to catch the milk. Does the amount of milk caught in the Haakaa equates to the amount of milk baby drinks from drinking breast? This is how my confinement nanny determines the amount my baby drinks when it comes to feeding at night with expressed milk.. feeding breast + milk caught in Haakaa = total amount per feed. confusing…😅#1stimemom#firstbaby #BreastfebBabies

it’s totally not equal. the flow from haakaa is from natural contraction of muscle and suction, and not as strong as baby’s suckling.. amount is different for sure

Postnatal Masaage Recommendation

Anyone got cheap and good postnatal massage therapist recommendation for homebased? What should i look out for? Need the pro mummy advise and recommendation, ty

I used Mas, she goes to your house to massage, she will recommend you the sessions but wont hard sell you also. Very good, with her advice, i recovered well and my body slowly go back to normal. You can WhatsApp her 90261136 and check if she is available for the month you need her. Hope this helps.

wearable pumps and a schedule in place to pump. likely have to cut down on pumping frequency

It actually depends on individual. Some mummies are blessed with lots of bm while some mummies no matter how much they tried, nothing. Pump/latch frequently, don’t skip sessions especially during the first few weeks. Stay hydrated. As much as you will be losing sleep, try to get as much rest as possible.

not so soon, only after delivery!! it’s not ideal for ur breasts to be producing milk now, might induce labour which is not good cos u are not full term yet

Do I need to prepare a manual pump?

Hi mummies! FTM here and my EDD is in end May. Just wondering if I should standby by a manual pump for the first few days after birth, because I was told milk supply will slowly kick in and machine pump will not be efficient.. Any mummies with similar experiences? I’m trying to gather as much information so I won’t panic at the last min :/ #1stimemom #firstbaby #pregnancy

don’t bother.. manual pump also won’t be able to squeeze out if there’s really no supply during the first few days, you’ll be wasting money getting another pump. milk supply will kick in eventually (likely when you discharge) and by then you’ll need ur electric pump. i didn’t pump at all and on day 3 pp my breasts felt rock solid only then i realise need to pump

Breast engorgement but low milk supply when pump

Breast engorgement but pump less than 30ml. How to relive the pain and increase the supply? Baby not latching, thus, use breast pump. Day 3 after giving birth.
