Need some advise to increase milk supply. Have been trying out lactation cookies and tea, fenugreek but dont see much results. 5 weeks pp now and currently pumping out about 40ml, max 60ml. No feeling of engorgement though, is my supply stagnant? #advicepls #1stimemom

Latching newborn

Does anyone of your hubby doesn’t encourage you to breastfeed? As far as possible, i would love to breastfeed my newborn but it’s quite depressing as i couldn’t find the right positions to latch and baby is not interested in latching. Told Hubby and he commented “anything i can, but latching is none of my business.” which i’m quite disappointed and felt depressed about it.

My ger was very impatient and couldnt really latch. I couldnt find a good position for her and soon i got tired as well. I feel ur hb feels helpless and theres nth he could do.

Confinement wine

Hi, would like to know if any mummies drink confinement wine 米酒 while breastfeeding? My mum told me to cook food with it and made bottles of it for me. But I am worried about the alcohol in level in it as I read that there will still be some left even after long hours of cooking. I intended to breastfeed my baby.

yes many mummies did that. avoid feeding the next few hours to be safe. your body’s recovery is important too

Milk supply stagnant

I have been pumping about 2-3 hrs interval, however supply still hovers around 40-50ml. Only when i power pump that im able to get up to 95ml. Is my supply stagnant? Im 6 weeks pp

I managed to increase my supply by taking sunflower lecithin & the trial bottles (pump princess, milkapalooza & liquid gold) from Legendairy. Also, I changed my pump from Babyexpress BeMine to BeFree. I used to pump 45-90ML/3hourly (both side combined, 30mins session) while using BeMine. It was so stressful for me because I couldn’t pump enough to feed baby. After confinement, I had to take care of baby alone so I cannot be tied down to the pump hence I finally got a handsfree pump at 2 months PP and surpringly my first try with Befree I managed to yield 180ML/3hourly.(Combined, 20 mins) I’m currently 4m PP, currently pumping 180~240ML/5hourly. I also managed to build up a freezer stash! 🥹 Above is just my personal experience, it may or may not work for you. But I personally think that not seeing the bottle while pumping helps a lot! At the very least I won’t feel so stressed about the amount.

Anyone uses handsfree pump like imani or baby express befree as their primary pump?

Is it recommended to use hands free pump as primary pump? Kinda put off by the thought of being stuck to a machine for couple of hours a day while pumping at home. Also does anyone have comparison of the imani and befree?

I previously use BeMine dual (with tubes) & I yield 45-90ML max and once I start pumping I have to be stationary. After confinement I’m the main caretaker of my LO hence I needed my hands so I tried BeFree. My first pump with Befree, I managed to pump 180ML! It’s my primary pump now & im pumping 180~240ML / 5.5 hourly.

Dyeing hair when you're still breastfeeding

Hi mummies, would like to check if it's alright to dye hair if I'm breastfeeding my baby currently. Did not dare to dye during my pregnancy and all my whites are out now.. 😅
