COVID vaccination during breastfeeding

Hi mummies, is it safe to take the COVID vaccination while breastfeeding? Will it do any harm to the baby?

Yes, so far it's safe. I took Pfizer while bfeeding a 6 mo baby. Was told tt I don't even need to pump and dump. So i just bfeed my boy as usual soon aft my vaccination and he's fine.

Breastfeeding can drink the 3leg cooling water ? I'm not so sure is safe to baby? Thank you in advance!

What I heard from elder folks is this drink is very cooling and usually taken for those who are running high fever or body is very ‘heaty’ so I would avoid personally. Lactation Consultants @ TMC

Hi all, would like to ask if the lactation consultants at TMC work on weekends as well?

From what I've heard, TMC's lactation consultants do work on Saturdays, but only in the morning, the hours are roughly 8.30am to 1.30pm, so you'd want to call ahead and book rather than just turn up. Weekdays they have a longer window, 8.30am to 5.30pm, which gives you more flexibility. The trade-off is that Sunday is fully closed, so if you're in a pinch over the weekend, Saturday morning is your only window there. My neighbour brought her baby there and mentioned the team is quite experienced and hands-on, though she did say Saturday slots fill up fast, so calling early in the week to secure a time is the safer move. Overall it seems like a solid option as long as you plan around that limited Saturday timing.

Are your nipples sore during breastfeeding when you’re pregnant?

I’m 10 weeks pregnant with my second. My first born is only 6 months. My nipples are crazy sore 24/7 especially when latching. I just put a straight face and pretend it doesn’t hurt at all when I’m dying inside lol. Slowly feeding her bottle, she’s slowly accepting bottle but it’s a battle because I still breastfeed her to bed at night and when she wakes up in the night.

You might want try massage using warm water in a small cup with lid and massage your breast area to reduce soreness. Then, pump to bottle fed your 6 months. If you breastfeed, you may change between both breast to fed. Soreness will slowly go away as weeks go by. You can also put some cream from cocoa butter on your nips. But remember not to breastfeed once the cream has been applied. Hope it will helps.

Hi all mummy’s my baby is 1 mth already as he latch on n I doin pumping as well but my milk not increased as I try eat a lot vegetable, lactation cookies, red date tea but my supply still 20ml only no increase one sections i pump

you should pump more frequently instead

Hi mummies, my baby is 3 months old and due to irregular pumping my supply is very Low which I yield about 20ml total or even less for each session. Basically My frequency from 6 times a day to 1-2 times a day. And I’ve stopped for few days now. Does any mummies here , have tried to start back pumping again? Is it too late? Any advise on increasing yield? I am still considering whether to stop pumping and just go with fully FM as starting work soon. But I keep having this thoughts running in my head like I feel bad for not able to give my LO breast milk and a part of me telling myself formula is good for baby too as long baby is healthy , happy and safe

I have trouble with milk production. 😖 i didnt breastmilk my son in the beginning. He’s my first child. Now i’m struggling to produce more. Tired so many lactation products and not much improvement. 😭
