Attending Concert

Anybody went for concert when 9 weeks pregnant? My tickets are the front seats. Not sure if I can still go.#adviceplease #9weekspregnant

Second time mom here, 1year PP. Had my only menses on 23rd Feb and test positive on 1st April. Went for my first scan on 19th Apr and all we could see was yolk sac. Based on my LMP I should be 8+ weeks however we could not see the fetus yet… am quite worried now any advice?

Hello! Usually your period cycle how long? I’m currently 7+2 weeks although based on my LMP I should be almost 8 weeks. But that’s normal cos my period cycle is around 33 days average. But usually by week 9 should see heartbeat, although some gynae might wait till 10 weeks before asking y’all to make a decision. I manage to detect heartbeat at 6+1. What did ur gynae say? Can consider seeking second option if u like.

First appointment

Hi all, I’m on my ?5th week and have gotten a polyclinic referral to NUH O&G. They have given me the appt for a month later (would be the 9th week). I’m having quite a bit of cramps (feels like mensus) without blood. Any experienced mamas who can share with me what to expect during the first appt? Thank you!

Scans during check ups

Hi mummies, FTM at 6 weeks now and my first appt is this Friday. I’m slightly confused on the prenatal checks. How often do you guys go for checks ? And do we get to do ultrasound during every check up? Is there a difference between going to a private clinic compared to public hospital like KKH in terms of quality of checks, the things they check etc ?

Private here. First appt till 32 weeks every 1 month, followed by every 2 weeks then every 1 week from week 36 for mine. In between inclusive of detailed scan etc.

Cost for prenatal checks

Hello Mummies! FTM here. I’m a little confused over the private doctors who has their own clinic for example at Mt A / Mt E etc and the doctors are public hospital. The costs are not that different right? I saw someone saying KKH hospital’s consultation charges are also quite expensive? If so, can someone help to explain what the differences are other than the waiting time ?

FTM here as well. From what I know/researched, government hospital under subsidised route means every time the gynae u see is different. They might do lesser scans & the follow-up duration is longer. The nurse at my private gynae said that government hospital sometimes just listen to heartbeat without doing ultrasound. Based on my experience & other mum friends suggestion, they all prefer a private because of the comfort & convenience, & most importantly seeing the same trusted gynae everytime.

NUH Private - please share experiences

Just recently tested positive for my first baby, I think I’m approaching 5 weeks. Went to my family GP and got a referral letter to NUH. NUHS called up and said that from a family GP, I’d be going the private route. Can any mommies who recently gave birth or planning to give birth at NUH private please share more information on your gynae, the average costs per visit and the birth package costs? Clueless first time mom-to-be here 😅 Thank you!

Been having cramps since an hour ago and have spotting been thru ectopic pregnancy 2 years ago.

How many weeks r u in alrdy? I’m week 6 now. Doctor say completely normal for cramps for happen as long as no bleeding/spotting. I had chemical pregnancy previously and I understand the stress and anxiety. Went for a check today, baby is week 6 + 1 with heartbeat. Crossing my fingers for u 🩷

Bleeding during first trimester??

Hi guys , i am a first time mummy to be and im experiencing bleeding . I am 3 weeks pregnant so i dont know if is it normal . The blood flow is exactly like menstruation and the cramps exist too so im not sure if its normal . I would probably like to know before my appointment to the doctors ..

Hi dear, pls see a gynae asap. If it’s period blood with clots it could be miscarriage. I had smth similar previously. It started with brown spotting. Then I went to see doctor. But they couldn’t see the water bag/yolk sac through the scan. 2-3 days later it turned into period blood flow and I lost the baby.
