Jamu recommendations?

I’m now nearing my third trimester and looking for jamu/post natal massage recommendations. I’ll be going through C-section so any mummies with good recommendations, do drop some contacts!

How to get rid of dry skin on face that is safe for pregnant women?

I’ve been having really dry skin since I was pregnant at 4 weeks. I am now at my 20 weeks of pregnancy. I still don’t know how to get rid of this dry skin (redness on my cheek only). Give me sugggestionssss pleaseeeee🙏

For me, I’m using Cetaphil Hydrating Foam cleanser Cetaphil Bright Healthy Radiance serum. Works okay for me. No issue with dry skin and oily skin since using them. But everybody’s face type is different. You can request for samples from their website to try out first. But it will take 1-2months to receive.

16w in 2 days, constipated, burps, nausea

I'm 16w in 2 days. Everyone says 2nd trimester is the easiest, but I am really constipated (my piles bled yesterday), burping a lot and dry heaving when hungry or after food, no appetite during dinner time, and really bloated after I forced myself to take some fish, veggie and rice. Anyone like me? It took me 7 years to be pregnant, but this journey gets tougher and harder 😢 😭

I find that oats, bananas and yogurt (probiotics) help reduced my bloating. I try to eat yogurt at the start of the day. you can also consider drinking lemon-infused water. try to take small meals or just snack throughout the day if no appetite for normal portions during meal times. if still don't improve, can get some prebiotics or probiotics. check with your gynae before getting it though just to make sure

Gynae expectations

Hi mummies! Wondering how your gynaes were like/how was your experience? I’m in my 18 week now and feel a little frustrated with mine. I chose mine because initially I felt that she was very positive vibes and cheerful, so I didn’t mind paying more for the consults etc. However, one thing that has been bothering me was that throughout the months of pregnancy, sometimes when I do have questions or concerns, I can’t seem to reach the clinic even though they have WhatsApp. Eg when I had questions about the kind of medicine I could take as I’ve gotten a flu, when I had shingles, etc. They seem to only get back to me after 2-3 days minimally. Sometimes I don’t want to seem impatient but it can make me anxious especially if I’m sick and need some advise. (I do go to the GP but they would always direct me back to my gynae yet I can’t get a response) I’m not sure if this is the average waiting time for a reply cuz it’s my first pregnancy. Hoping to get some feedback on this for me to better manage my own expectations. Thank you :)

Is the WhatsApp number meant for questions? If it’s just for appointments then maybe that explains the slow response. also if it’s a simple question personally i tend to just ask chatgpt or forums rather than gynae. There are many resources out there :)

Failed for FEB SBF 2025

Has anyone applied for SBF with 3 Priority scheme (Parenthood Priority scheme, Married Child Prority Scheme, 1st Timer couple) yet didn't managed to even get a queue number at all? It's quite upsetting when my EDD is due Oct yet failed twice this year to get a house.

I’ve applied for bto during last year’s launch, Feb this year, and SBF under the 3 same schemes for Punggol. My EDD is also in October. We finally got a queue number this round. My advise is to try to go down to speak to your MP on the situation for them to write in to HDB to see if the next round you can get a queue number. No idea how the balloting works…. But I’m assuming many other people are in the same situation as us. Best of luck. Praying for you ❤️

How much have you paid for your check ups so far? So far I paid about $3K for check ups and test. I'm at 14 weeks

I recall spending ard 3-3.5k when i was about 15 weeks in. This includes scans, blood test, consultations…

Down Syndrome test

Has anyone gone through Down syndrome tests and preeclampsia tests? Which do you recommend—Panorama or Oscar? And how much did yours cost?

I just did Panorama with Thomson Medical. It was $1399. Chose Panorama because it is more accurate and can tell gender too

Taking panadol for headache

ive been having headache almost everyday & i took 2 tablets a day because i couldn’t take it anymore. Has anyone encounter same situation? Im afraid of the side effects that could harm the baby.😔

currently I'm 15w5d, also headache everyday. tried not to take panadol if I can. so far I have asked the gynae, they mentioned as long as it's not off the shelf panadol is ok. but better to get it prescribed by the doctor.

Confinement Nanny or Confinement Center?

Hi! I'm a first time mum, currently 12w. I was told to start making confinement plans after 1st trimester and now I'm overwhelmed by so many options. I'd appreciate so much if you could share what you chose? Live-in confinement nanny / or not live-in? Any confinement agencies to recommend? Or confinement centers? Any recommendations? Also, what was the price range, what the 28-day package covers? That would help so much, thanks in advance!

Im first time mum too 14 weeks. I recently signed up with PEM confinement nanny agency. They provided the quickest necessary informations about the package compared to other agency. It's well known by many Singaporean celebrities as well. Confinement centre - MummyLoft centre can cost up to 20k Checked with 3 agencies in total price ranges from 3.8k-4.3k 28 days stay in. They offer herbal bath, tonic soup, post natal massage, 3 meals, laundry etc. Maybe you can get more information when u enquire them. 😊

How much weight gain in first tri?

Just curious mummies, how much weight did you gain in 1st tri? I’ve gained around 3 and I’m 10 weeks now. Not sure if this is normal ….
