Depression Stress Tired

This is my 4th pregnancy after 6years. Everything has back to square one. In this 32weeks i find myself cranky all over at home. My elder kids always get a scolding from me because of uncompleted homework. When i told the hubby, he just brushed it off and say, they just being children. But i get so emotional very fast. Im so tired and torn! Morning sending the kids, Afternoon fetching the kids. Prepare lunch. Then dinner. Intimate moment with my own partner is just out of the story already. Sometimes i just left the kids screaming and crying while me bursting with tears in the bathroom and lock the door.. ignoring them.. until then the hubby came back and the eldest let the hubby knows.. and scolded me big time.. what the most saddest thing, "ure such a burden making the kids worry!" Sorry for the long post.. is there any counsellor i can talk to?

you can go to the nearest family service centre near your house to get some help too. please do get help! I hear it's a very stressful situation, pls don't suffer alone

Overly excited family members?

So I’ve got a sister in law who decided not to have a child when she’s married. Then she told my husband, in the future she will leave her assets to my child since she doesn’t have children. She’s been very excited about our unborn child and has been asking how am I etc whenever we meet. She would also make comments like she can help to take care of our child, or play with our child etc. Then my husband told me that maybe she can be our child god-ma since she’s not having her own. I felt uncomfortable because I don’t think my child need another “mom” other than me. If she decides not to have her child, that’s her choice. Why do I have to “share” my child with her? I bite my tongue because I don’t know if I’m being too sensitive? Maybe she’s just caring from a family member perspective. Anyone have similar experience and how should I deal with it?

Personally I am not comfortable with other people being my child god-mother too. Others can call me selfish, but I am not letting my child calling other people with the word “mom”. You should talk to your husband about this. Let him know you’re not comfortable with other people being the god mother and not to bring this suggestion to your sister in law. It’s nice seeing other people loving and doting on your child but I feel there should be a limit no matter what because they are not the biological parents.

Gestational Diabetes

Hi Mummies! Anyone had or currently having GDM while preg? Bcos I have GDM now. My qn is, does your glucose readings always remain within the range or fluctuates i.e sometimes so good, sometimes so-so. And what about near the end of preg, does the readings still fluctuates? Thank you Mummies!

FTM here and diagnosed with GDM as well. I started pricking for almost a month now and my glucose readings are not always within the range (not too high and not too low) I was referred to a dietician who made a meal plan as a guide for me to follow. As per my gynae so far my readings are good but she changed my pricking sched from 7x once a week to 7x twice a week to closely monitor my glucose levels

Can drink cold water during pregnancy? Any side effects ? My MIL says next time baby will have a hard time, is it true ? The weather is really too hot

Not sure if it’s true, but I’ve been drinking cold water a lot because weather is really too hot. :(

Im switching to private ob this month.

Doctor Angeline Chua is my gynae, and so far amazing experience with her throughout my pregnancy journeys ( I had 2 losses and currently 28 weeks pregnant). She is always gentle during the consultations and make sure I am well taken care of in KKH, despite she was also heavily pregnant. However, she is on maternity leave now, and I was assigned to Doctor Ho Xin Yi until she comes back. It is importantly to find a doctor you have chemistry with 🙂
