Baby wakes up at night to lick her hand

My 4mo has been waking up in the middle of the night to lick her hand, or even her sleeves, if her hands are covered by her sleeves. She does that with her eyes closed and only stops if we swaddle her tighter and keep her hands out of her reach. However she is getting stronger and also starting to flip, so it seems like the swaddle won’t be a solution in the long run. Any advice on how to get her to sleep better? #advicepls #firsttimemom

Suck fingers vs suck pacifier. I feel it’s better to suck pacifier as it can be thrown away later to kick the habit whereas you can’t throw the fingers away.

Feeding aversion / milk strike / bottle strike

Hello mummies! My 4mo baby has been having feeding issues for 2 months. She started pushing bottle away, playing with the teat, fussing, crying (sometimes really badly) halfway during her feed and refuses to continue drinking. Sometimes she can continue after some coaxing. Sometimes she will refuse. It’s on and off, some days she drinks well and we thought the phase is over, and then the next day the aversion comes back again. Even so her total milk intake was still enough so we just believe it’s a phase and will pass. But over the past few days, it got worst and she wails really badly even when she sees the bottle. She only manages to drink half or less of her usual intake. She also seems more sleepy than usual. But when she’s awake, she is still active and interactive. I’m really worried. It’s been 2 months.. is it still a phase that will pass? We told the doctor about her feeding during a developmental check recently and he said it’s a phase. Should I bring her to see a PD (I read many PD will say that it’s a phase too)? Anything that will help?

Have you tried changing a bottle or upsizing her teats? Also, she could be teething as well.

Breast fed baby going to IFC

May I ask, for breast fed baby that’s going to IFC, do mom pack chilled BM or frozen breast milk ? If it is chilled BM, do we pack it by per bottle? Thanks in advance.

Tink the ifc will tell u. Last time we pack by bottles with the amount of bm per feed. This round we prob gonna give frozen bm..

Which month do baby start eating yogurt melt

I tried offering at 8mo but she wasn’t taking it too well cause it gets stucked to her upper side of her mouth (dk the actual term). I tried again after 1 and she could take it without any problems cause she will bite and break down the pieces better.

How to sleep train a 3-4 month old if he cosleep with us?

Any advice? Or do I need to put him in another room? He will start sleeping ard 10pm, then wake up every 2 - 3 hours in the motn to feed(e.g 12am, 3am, 6am, 9am). I will breastfeed him to sleep then put him back in his bassinet. Sometimes he poops and wakes up.

Freshly pumped breastmilk

Hi mummies, my freshly pumped breastmilk sat in freezer for roughly half an hour. It remain in an insulated bag during and after i took out from freezer. It’s been in the cold insulated bag for 3hrs now. Can i still put back in freezer? Reason for this 3hrs gap because left work and attended appointment.

Hello mummies, yesterday night my 3.5M bb have fever 38.5 . I sponge him and give him Panadol syrup 3ML that I got during 2month vaccinations. The fever drop and back again around 10aM this morning. I gave him another 3ML and fever is still 38.2. Should I monitor him first or should go KK Emergency

Honestly for me, if baby has high fever, go to kkh straight. To rule out anything. My baby had covid and high fever 38 and above and was hospitalized for 3 days. They took urine and blood test to rule out any infection. As theyre still small, they did not give any medication for my baby as they say their kidney is not fully developed. I would suggest to not self medicate baby. Atleast go to clinic. And yup during the 3 days stay his fever go up down

Help me recognise is this rash allergy or acne. My baby has this for more than a month alrdy. She’s currently 3 months old. I have applied aveeno and cetaphil but it doesn’t go away although it fade some days but most of the days it appears very red.

Routine on a daily basis

Hello mummies. What is your daily routine like on a weekday? Do you usually shower your LO before sending to infant care? Im starting work soon and I doubt I have time to shower my LO in the morning. Is it okay if I changer his diaper and send him to infant care in his pajamas? Do you shower your LO after fetching from the centre as well?

If you have to be at work by 9am and you are sending at 7am. And if you think waking up, bathing your LO seems too early. Then wipe down, change diapers and clothes. Upon reaching school let the teachers know to shower. For me since I send to IFC at the age of 6 months, I made it a point to shower her before school. However if teacher re shower her in the afternoon or before going back then I am okay. I will see the time given for the last shower. If the showering and hr before fetching then I dont re shower her at home. If in the afternoon her last shower then Ill re shower her once I reach home.
