Thigh pain third trimester

I am experiencing outer thigh pain for the past few weeks.. Am 32 weeks now with very achy thighs. It's very painful when I walk and stretch out my legs on the bed. It affects outer thighs. The medical term is Meralgia paresthetica. Does anyone have this problem too? Does it go away after delivery?

I’m experiencing it too at 29 weeks and now I’m 30 weeks. My mum told me it’s normal because your baby is growing inside the tummy but it hurts. I work in a preschool setting and I’m taking care of 24 months old children where I need to be seated on the floor..I even ask my husband and mum to massage but it doesn’t go away. Hopefully during and after delivery it will go away 😥

When are you all starting ML?

I am due 7 August 2024 and still am undecided if I should start my ML early or work until I am close to 40 weeks. Am currently on a WFH arrangement so it is pretty relaxing. I am with KKH subsidised so asking for HL will not be possible :/

When I gave birth to my daughter, I was on WFH basis too. I worked till the day I gave birth (37 weeks) and started ML on that day only. Didn’t take ML in advanced as WFH and wasn’t so sure when baby will come.

Hi mom I’m currently preg and I’m leaking colostrum and my nipple became dry is this normal what can I do to make it not so dry? #pregnancy #firsttimemom

Can apply nipple cream/coconut oil. And yes, as the milk dries up, it will cause flakes around your nipples, just gently exfoliate/rub during shower.

Why does kkh gynae recommended natural birth more I told my gynae k wanted c section but she insisted I get natural birth why is tat so? ##firs1stimemom

Maybe your gynae is more pro natural (and less process for natural compared to Csect surgery)? But if you have decided your birth method, just tell her you’re firm on Csect and would not consider natural. Another factor she probably want you to consider is that, if you get csect for the first, your second one will probably also be Csect unless you wanna try vbac (if you want natural).

Hi moms anyone have any birth story’s with c section? First time mommy here I js wanna know what to expect! #firstmom #advice #Csection

I’m a FTM and my c section was a breeze. Almost painless. The biggest challenge was to get up from bed and go to the toilet on the next day. But with the help of painkillers (take them religiously), it’s manageable. I was able to walk up and down the stairs at home shortly after discharge. My recovery was smooth too, no bleeding or any other complications. I didn’t shower during the whole confinement month though, only wiped clean. For the wound, I only applied the scar gel given by my gynae. The scar is barely visible now (15months pp). The one thing I find important is to bring a drinking bottle with straw to the hospital. Then you won’t need to sit up straight for water. Use the hospital bed to help you get up. I turned to my side and then press the button to raise the bed slowly. It helps to reduce discomfort by not engaging our abs too much. You can get the nurse to measure your waist/stomach before buying the belly band, you might be able to get it from the hospital. The band helps to support the wound. Wishing you all the best!

Does anyone know when exactly my pregnant body will produce breastmilk? My boobs still look the same before pregnancy and im just wondering if are there cases where momies have no milk after delivery baby?

Mine only produce milk after delivery! I didn’t have milk or colostrum before delivery. Don’t worry. The more you worry, the more stress you will be. When you are feeling stress, it will affect your milk supply. Just relax and let nature takes its course! There’s always food and supplements to help you to increase milk supply. Also, from what I understand from my masseuse, boobs size doesn’t matter. Doesn’t mean big boobs = more milk too or small boobs = less milk.

Dizzy in third trimester

Collecting colostrum

Yes you can. Just store it in the freezer and give it to your baby after delivery.

Why is my belly still so small?

dear mommies I’m a first time single mom and I’m currently in my 31 week. But why is my belly still so small? Baby is kicking fine. It didn’t bother me at first till people started commenting things like. 7 months??? Why still so small. And that got me to overthink a lot. Kinda hurts my heart . Should I be worried? ( side note I’ve always thought it was normal and fine as I’m quite chubby”) And nowadays I’ve notice I barely have appetite to eat. And sleeping has been so rough. Kept waking up every few hours. Very hard to fall asleep. Is this normal?

It’s normal for first time mums to have small belly because everything is not stretched out yet. I have a small belly (my colleagues didn’t know I was pregnant till late 8 months, some only saw my belly the day before I went to induce *imagine their shocked faces*). And yes, hard to sleep is normal, however if you’re worried, do raise your concerns to gynae during your next scan (they know your condition best!).
