Next scan in 8 weeks

Hi Mummies! I had my 12 weeks scan 2 days ago. So grateful that all is good. Baby is active tossing here and there. But, my next scan is at 20 weeks, in April, which is 8 weeks away. Is it normal? I have a Dr appointment at 16 weeks, but no scan being scheduled. Will everything be okay by then? Do any mummies go for a scan elsewhere like private clinic just for a peace of mind? Or am I just being paranoid for worrying too much?

normally doc will do a scan in clinic during consultation

First trimester test and preeclampsia

Hi everyone, im 24 this year and im currently almost 14weeks pregnant. I went to KKH to get my first trimester screening and preeclampsia tested. I got a intermediate risk of down syndrome and high risk for preeclampsia. I am so worried for my baby especially for the down syndrome. I already went for the NIPT test and I hope to have good news. Does anyone faced the same issues as me before? Hope to hear good news from you guys😭😭

Hi, Ive got the same experience as well, just wanna let mummies know, its better to just go straight for the NIPT test. I understand it is more costly, but the accuracy is better. I got scared for nothing doing the normal first trimester screening and it is NOT worth it!

Numbness in arms and legs

Hello, anybody experience numbness too? It affects my sleep especially when I sleep on my side. Wondering how do you all deal with it?

How many weeks are you? I had Numbness / swelling on legs, not arms though. This numbness only came in the 3rd trimester….i tried to resolve it by 1) elevating my legs when sleeping 2) getting my husband to massage my foot 3) using a footstool when sitting up straight to work …

Trouble swallowing pills

Hi mommies, i’m 12 weeks in and given bigger pills to take (calcium, fish oil, prenatal vits) but i have never dared to swallow pills bigger than a tiny flu pill. Is anyone facing the same or able to share how you’ve overcome this fear? Thank you :( #pleasehelp

Same…I am always afraid of taking tablets, 90% of time I will gag. My personal trick is to take the pills with flavoured water for eg redoxon or manuka honey lemon water😅 then hold my breathe and must tilt my head back

Pregnancy safe medicine

Currently in my week 11 and down with bad flu and fever. Doctor prescribed pregnancy safe medicine but I am still worried for my baby, will it be safe for my baby since he/she is still developing and small? I tried taking more Vit C but still have not recover.

Yes it is safe. Otherwise it will not be prescribe and every medications has Mg or Ml for every age, young, old that differs.
