Are confinement nannies always correct ?

I find that my confinement nanny have her own way of feeding my baby based on schedule and not by demand , which is different from what I read from the book. Also, she cook some foods that are actually not allowed during pregnancy confinement. Just wondering if you all have experiences with confinement nannies with weird practices in their care?#pleasehelp

Nothing is wrong on demand or schedule, up to parents. For me we try every 3hours but if LO wake up and ask to be fed earlier like i.e 2.5hours i will still give coz BM digested easily (i heard within 90mins). I prefer on schedule so we won’t be so tired. However nanny got ask me before if i prefer on demand or schedule before she trained my baby.

Doona stroller+car seat suitable for 0+?

I heard that newborn babies shouldn’t be sat up right. However I’ve the doona stroller+car seat. Car seat is fine as baby will be lying down. But as for the stroller, baby seems to be sat upright which isn’t good for the posture according to the older generations. Can someone advise on this?🙁

yes it’s perfectly suitable, baby is not even upright.. it’s well supported. suggest you to go to the showroom to have a look

Any mummies have children in infant care? Worry about baby falling sick.

Is it safe to put baby in infant care? Baby is 5 months old. I am worried that baby will fall sick easily in infant care and thought of putting baby under the care of my in laws but they are old. What does baby learn in infant care? Don't want to waste money also.#advicepls

Splitting night duty

My husband is returning to work and will like to check how do you all split night duties between spouses? Does the baby sleep in the same or different room?

Cosleeping with baby. Husband helps to feed and change diapers. While I wake up to pump since schedule clashes. If schedule matches, I’ll feed the baby then pump.

Baby constantly crying and hungry

Hi, my baby just turned 4 weeks. Starting from third week, he will start crying and getting fussy 1.5 hrs after the last feed. He will display hunger cues when we tap on his mouth. Currently, he drinks about 80ml and is on BM (bottle fed). Can I check if any of you experience the same with your baby? Worried that he is not sleeping well because of other reasons.

yes it’s normal, it’s colic. must keep burping

How many times do 1 month plus baby eat per day?

Do you feed your child on demand or schedule time for feeds? Is 1 hour in between feeds normal? #advicepls #pleasehelp #firstmom

Metallic breastmilk

Hi mummies, yesterday I noticed that my freshly pumped breastmilk smells a little metallic. Has anyone experienced this before?

Induced or c-sect

Hi mommies I am currently 39 weeks and during my 38 weeks checkup I was only 1cm dilate. I still haven’t feel any labour pains/waterbag burst/mucusp plug. Am just wondering how painful is it to be induced? And it there is little progression during my next appt should I just go ahead being induced/c-sect or wait 🥹

I’m at 39w5d and still waiting. Don’t wish to induce because the pain is alot worse than natural pain. So far im experiencing contractions these days only that its not active yet. My gynae told me to wait till 41weeks only then to decide the next step.

Pp period stopped

My post partum period stopped 10 days after giving birth. I went for my gynae visit yesterday and my gynae said that if it stops now it’s bad, it should last at least another 2-3 more weeks. Is it really bad? And will there be any side effects/reasons for my period stopping so soon? Am alittle concerned.. #FTM

kadang kadang darah nifas akan datang balik..maximum 60 hari...ada mengurut or bertungku tak?

Hi, can check if any of your newborn make a dolphin high pitched sound during feeding and sleep? Did you get it checked at the PD?

It’s normal, sometimes horse sound too (not being sarcastic, I once asked the same thing in mummy group too 😂). And nope, didn’t bring PD. They will outgrow that.
