need help on gestational result

hi mummies i did my gd test recently and my results came back with one hour fail. the benchmark is 180 but mine is 187. the rest passed. is it necessary to see a specialist as my gynae refer me to one. and i dread of prickling my fingers . anyone have same as me ? please advise me .. thanks !

My gynae only tested me at time 0 and 2h. Did not take any test during 1 hr so not sure if that is important?

Is gestational diabetes super dangerous?

Hi mummies! I’m a FTM and diagnosed with gestational diabetes.. am i in complete high risk of pregnancy? And will my diabetes goes down to my baby? Please help me 😭#firsttimemom

Flagystatin pessary uncomfortable?

Hello, I was wondering for those who were prescribed the Flagystatin pessary, do you feel uncomfortable after inserting in? I can always feel something is there and it’s super uncomfortable. Not sure if it’s normal? ##advicepls #firsttimemom

If you insert it right, it should not be uncomfortable at all. Speaking from multiple experiences ☺️

nuh maternity ward price

hi mummies anyone able to share NUH subsidised ward pricing deposits? for 4/6 bedder thank you

I really feel you on this, it can be so stressful trying to plan ahead financially especially when you are already juggling so much. I don't have the exact deposit figures on hand for NUH subsidised wards, so I would not want to give you the wrong numbers leh. Your best bet is to call NUH's billing department directly or pop by their patient service counter, as the deposit amounts can vary depending on your insurance and Medishield Life coverage too, so they will be able to give you the most accurate breakdown for your situation.

Covid positive at 30 weeks

May i know whats the protocol now if youre pregnant & positive? been having cough, flu, bodyaches & up down fever. i have all the meds, like may i know when to go to the doctor?

Hi mumma! I had covid around 34 weeks, and I went to KKH but was sent home on the same day. I think as long as you can’t feel baby’s kicks or you have the feeling something isn’t right, you can go straight to the doctor :-) that’s what kkh told me. They gave me same normal medication for covid. Hope you recover soon! ♥️

Hi mommies, this is gonna sound weird but how frequent do you guys poop? I have been bothered with constipation through my pregnancy.. any sharing would help. Anyone else also having pregnancy constipation? Any tips to ease it? Thank you.

What helped me was fybogel and lots of water and walking.

Any recommendations for gynae who is specialist in normal delivery at Mt Elizabeth Orchard?

I really feel you on this -- finding the right gynae who supports normal delivery is so important and can make such a big difference to your whole birth experience. I don't have a specific name at Mt E Orchard to share right now, but maybe try asking in the main theAsianparent group or the natural birth support groups on Facebook as mums there often share very detailed personal experiences with specific gynaes. You could also call Mt E Orchard's maternity enquiry line directly and ask which of their gynaes has a higher normal delivery rate, as the staff there are usually quite helpful with that leh.

Has anyone delivered a baby at Mt Elizabeth Novena via natural birth recent? How much was the bill?

I really feel you on this, the uncertainty around hospital bills can be so stressful especially when you are already thinking about so much. I don't have a figure to share for Mt Elizabeth Novena specifically, but I'd suggest calling their billing department directly as they are usually quite helpful in giving you an estimate based on your delivery package and whether you have an obstetrician there already. It would also be good to check what your Medisave and insurance can cover, so you go in feeling more prepared lah.
