36 weeks needs NICU?

Hi i’m at FTM, im wondering if baby needs to go to NICU if born at 36 weeks. I’m currently at 35 weeks and baby weigh is 2.55kg. Doc suggest for me to induced baby since i’ve been in and out of hospital due to false contractions and HBP. Need an advice pls..

Depends on baby health and condition, if nothing problem no need NICU,

Diarrheoa at Week 36

Hi mummies. I had a craving for spicy food last Monday so I ordered Mala for dinner. It has been two days and I'm still having diarrheoa, feeling nauseous and vomitting. My tummy aches pretty bad, confused with cramps. Up till now, I can't swallow any food because of my tummy aches. What should I do?

Baby weight 1.97kg at 36 weeks pregnancy

Hi guys, Anyone here with lower weight of fetus. My baby only 1.97 gms at 36week pregnancy. What your doctor advised and how are you managing it. TIA

33weeks baby weight 2.7kg??

Hi Mummies, Just wondering what do u guys pack for your Hospital Bag For C-Set? What isit a must thing to buy for after C-set use? And Any Mummies happen to have same issues like me? Currently 33weeks Pregnant.. Baby weight 2.7kg already. Anyone managed to slow down the growing process for your LO? To let it stay till 39weeks/40weeks?😅 Doctor was saying at 36weeks will do a scan again.. if baby growing too fast.. i might need to C-Sect when baby is 37weeks. Which just Full Terms. That is a lot to process at once, and it makes sense you are feeling worried. For the hospital bag, the basics most mums pack for a C-sect are your own toiletries, a few loose high-waisted clothes, a nursing bra, your maternity notes, and something comfy for baby to go home in. On the baby's growth, it is really worth having an honest chat with your gynae about what options you have between now and the 36-week scan, since they know your full picture best and can advise whether there is anything dietary or otherwise worth adjusting. Every pregnancy is different, so what worked for one mum may not apply to yours, but going in prepared with questions for your doctor will help you feel more in control.

Are we allowed to wear own clothes during our stay at the hospital?

Hello, mummies! I’m a subsidised patient at KKH. I’m just wondering if we are able to wear our own maternity clothes in the ward?

I think you can but you probably won’t want to…. I had the same thoughts as you, even brought my own PJs…. Ended up wearing the hospital gown thru out cause of the discharge and bloods. Don’t say the dirty part, I can’t be bothered about my clothings with the pain and lack of sleep. 😂 By the time you bring home and wash, the stains there already..

Is colostrum collector necessary?

Do we need to bring colostrum collector in our hsp bag or hsp will provide for free?

I think it depends on your hospital! My friend told me to bring breast pump so lactation consultant will coach you on how to use it and hospital will provide syringe for the colostrum!!

Tips for night calves muscle cramps

Wanted to benefit all my beautiful ladies on easing of muscle cramping at night because I know how much it hurts. Thanks to my husband for teaching me to do this once I start cramping, it ease the cramps almost immediately. I'm not sure if it'll work for everyone else but it works for me! So please go ahead and try it out!

Hi mum, those night cramps can really be so painful and shocking when they happen suddenly. Thanks for sharing, I think a lot of later trimester mummies will appreciate this tip and hopefully get some relief too.

HOW DO U GET UR OLDER ONE TO GET USED TO UR LITTLE OLD?

Hi Mummies. Just wondering. How do u get ur older one to get used with the little one? When the little one is out? Im quite worry nw. As my elder one nw is 1.5 years old. And my little one coming out next month.. i scare my elder one will feel neglected. Cause these few days she seem like knowing the little one is coming. Seem to be quite cranky n clingy. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance. #pleasehelp

Hi mum, my girl was around the same age when baby came and what helped was giving her some one on one time daily and letting her help with simple baby things so she felt included. The clinginess is quite normal, just keep reassuring her and it usually settles once everyone adjusts.

hi parents do u know how much GBS at nuh subsidised costs? turning 34weeks soon so might need to go thank you

i did mine at NUH recently, $55.90 before sub, $27.95 after sub.

Hospitalisation leave

Seeking some advice here. For those mum to be who are WFH, have you all successfully gotten HL before your maternity leave start? If so, how do you all request from your Gynae?

Just went to the dr today, 36 weeks, doctor asked if I need bed rest. Probably you can mention about bed rest
