My mom bought me castor oil and i’m 9 weeks pregnant. She’s a nurse so I thought I could trust her. But I went to search online and found negative feedback. However, just to be on a safer side, to ask my fellow mummies here, IS IT OK TO APPLY CASTOR OIL ON MY BELLY?????? TO AVOID STRETCH MARKS????? How about just using stretch mark creams/bio oil instead? If in doubt, best to avoid.

Medicated oil during pregnancy

Anyone know if we can apply yu yee oil (如意油) or pin an gao (平安膏) during pregnancy. Both are medicated oil that I usually use for headaches and body aches. Am experiencing very sore legs and really desperately need some oil to relive the aches.

I do use yuyee oil but don’t apply too much.

Pee enquiries (9 weeks prego)

Hi moms, is it normal to not pee so much in this week? I heard pregnant ladies will keep going back to the toilet. Or this occurs much further away like something around 20 weeks?

I didn't pee significantly more throughout my whole pregnancy and baby is perfectly normal! trust your own body you'll do great

6mm sac at 6 weeks, no heartbeat yet

Hi. I had a miscarriage in February 2024 and recently tested positive. Is it normal for a 6 week to have an empty sac, no heartbeat? I’m anxious

1st Checkup for Pregnant Mummy

Hi mummies, Under subsidised route, what usually happens on the first check up at hospital? (i'm currently 5 weeks & waiting for my appt @ NUH to be confirmed)

I’m not under NUH but for my first check up, the gynae did a transvaginal ultrasound scan for me, answer your questions if any, and schedule for the next appointment (one month).

I'm 7weeks plus now & always vomit aft dinner. I do feel nausea throughout the day.

But my trigger is always after brushing my teeth. Is it normal to have a trigger? Any ways to prevent post brushing teeth vomiting? Thanks.

Mine also triggered during and after brushing teeth. I don’t have a way to prevent but I just try to live with it 🥲 I was so afraid to brush teeth everytime.

Early pregnancy leak

Should I be worried about vaginal fluid leak at 8 weeks? Unsure if what type of fluid but it soaked through my pantyliner.

I’m not sure what fluid it is but it is normal for a pregnancy woman to have more discharge (if that’s what you are experiencing). If you are worried, do head down to any women clinic or find your gynae for a peace of mind! It would be better than getting answer from here too.

Pregnancy symptoms

I had a miscarriage last Feb. I recently tested positive. Is it normal to feel no symptoms other than slight cramp and sore boobs? This is totally different from my first lost - morning sickness which is on an other level. Having no symptoms make me anxious and worried if it will be a repeated loss as I’m still early and have not seen a gynae

How many weeks are you along? Also is it a normal pregnancy or IVF. I had no symptoms at all.

Subsidized Route

Hi mummies, Can I choose A1 ward while being in the subsidized route? Will my follow up checkup after being in an A1 ward become private or subsidised still?

You can choose your A1 during delivery but you will be charged as private patient.
