Sleeping alot and drinking less

My baby just turned 4mo She slept through from 9pm last night to almost 9am this morning without waking up to feed. She took 120ml after waking up then nap again for almost 3hours now. It has been 5 hours since her last feed. Should i be worried?

I think if the baby is gaining weight, it should be ok? If my baby “oversleeps”, I will top up a little on her next feeding.

Hi mommies! My baby is 4 months old now, turning 5 soon. Can i know when can i start giving her cereals & solid? Or porridge

My 5 months old on mix feed. I give her friso cereal and FM (ratio 2:3 // 200 ml, 3 times a day) with in between BM/FM where necessary. You can start weaning off slowly with puree (subject to if you consult dr/nurse) You can get those from supermarket. There are some mummies I knw that give as early as 5 months home made porridge/cereal. But this depend on individual. For my first child I start exactly 6 months, for my second I start at 5 months. However no porridge, just mix feed for now.

Will this flat spot round out with increased tummy time and reduced time on her head?

Hi, my lo is turning 5 months. And I noticed a flat spot at the back of her head. She’s been spending more time on her bouncer when I’m doing work and i think that has caused this. Will it still round out on its own with reduced time on her head? #advicepls #firstbaby #firsttimemom #help

My 5 months old have it too. I would put her on tummy time, side ways sleeping. People say it will be okay after a while. But if you are afraid of the flat head will be prolong and not getting better, you can get anti flat head pillow and use other tips recommended. For me it is not obvious, over time it will be better.

Hiccups for baby in womb

Am 34 plus 4, but today I felt baby hiccups for the 3rd time. A bit worried. Anyone experience the same?

Hiccups are normal! :) my #1 also had, he continued having it as a baby. Super cute

It will go by itself. My 5 months had it till she is about 3 months old. I will just moisturize her skin with Cetaphil Advanced Pro Skin till now.

Fever after immunisation

My 4 month old baby just had his immunisation. And he develop a fever. Can recommend me if it’s ok to use the fever kool pad on forehead?

They have the one for baby. Pigeon brand has it too.

Sleep arrangement with confinement nanny

Hi mummies, I'm intending to breastfeed but have my baby sleep with the confinement nanny due to limited space in my master. But I'm not sure if this is feasible. Do nannies typically stay up at night with mummies? Any advice on the best arrangement for night feeds?

Yes, the nanny will help to take care of the baby throughout the night, unless you tell her not to. For me, I also let my baby sleep with the nanny overnight in a separate room coz I have an older child sleeping with me and my husband. When it’s time for feeding, the nanny will carry her to my room and knock on the door. After I finish breastfeeding my baby, I pass it back to the nanny and she’ll change + coax my daughter to sleep. As for best arrangement for night feeds, after the nanny, I find that co-sleeping is the best because it allows most rest for mummy :) you can try and experiment and see how things work out for you!

Goat milk review

Hi any mommies feeding their 4mth old babies goat milk? Appreciate your review. My bb enjoys his milk but I noticed he always gets phlegm. Considering to change to goat milk. TQ

Before making any changes to your baby's milk, please do check with your PD first, especially since your baby is only 4 months old and the phlegm could have a few different causes that are worth looking into properly. Your doctor can advise you on what is safe and suitable for your baby at this age.

My baby 3 months old have been getting eye discharge for three days. Should i be worried and see doctor? No redness only sticky eye and watery. Any home remedy?

What colour is the eye discharge? If it is green/yellowish could be sore eyes, it can be due to also heaty Pls visit doctor for further check.
