Thicker NT Length

My wife is in her week 10 of pregnancy, During the routine scan today, we were told that the NT length of the foetus was thicker than normal (3.7mm). We are very worried and upset over this. Our gynae has arranged for a combined FTS test in 2 weeks time. Anyone has similar experience on this? Both of us are under 35 years old.
