Low lying placenta

Hello, My wife is having low lying placenta which was found during the FA scan around 20 weeks. Now she is 24 weeks and doing good. However, I am still afraid that if the low lying placenta will be bothering us so much during the later stage of Pregnancy. Will there be a risk involved. If so, how much care do we need to take ?? Please share your thoughts.
