Day 15 is still well within the normal window, lochia can last anywhere from four to six weeks after delivery, whether it's a vaginal birth or C-section, so a return of bleeding around that point isn't automatically a red flag. From what I've generally heard, it's quite common for bleeding to seem like it's tapering off early, then pick back up again, especially if your wife has been more active or breastfeeding hormones are shifting things around. That said, the key things to watch are whether the flow is heavier than a period, has large clots, or comes with fever, bad smell, or pain, those would be signs to head to the doctor sooner rather than later. Some mums find the bleeding stays lighter and resolves quickly, while others experience a few waves of heavier flow before it fully settles, so there's quite a range of what's considered normal. It's still worth having her OB or GP take a look just to rule out anything like retained placental fragments, which can sometimes cause bleeding to return.
