We still use the Mercury type because it's more accurate than the digital ones. We just take extra careful not to break it. We just have one, if we break it, we'll have no choice but to buy a digital one because the mercury type has already been banned in the world market or pharmacy.

I bought BRAUN infra-red forehead one, then bought another BRAUN ear one and always have the existing typical oral or armpit one ready.

i used to have the ear and it spoiled, so now forehead but i prefer the ear type and i have the armpit one just in case.

Pedia advised us to invest into an ear and infra red thermometer because it's more accurate than the armpit type.

mine is infra red ear and forehead. my son loves it when we take his temperature with it.

We always use the ear type but we still do have the armpit type for backup.
