Hello! First time mum here 🙋🏻♀️ how to know if current formula actually not suitable?
Hi, Is it normal if stool colour change after switching to goat’s milk? Like its more darker now
Yes this can be normal as long there are no signs of blood.
Im curious. Anyone tried both cow & goat milk ? any noticeable difference? What is the different?
They are both great sources of nutrients for growing kids. In general, goats milk is slightly higher in calories, protein, fat and lower in carbohydrates. It is also slightly higher in potassium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. They have different protein structures and smaller fat globules which are easier to digest. They also tend to have more natural oligosaccharides which act as prebiotic to promote gut health. Goats milk also has less lactose and seems to be more hypoallergenic. The taste is also different. It comes down to picking what is suitable for your unique situation. You can try samples from different brands before deciding whether to switch. Most importantly, choose a formula your child enjoys.
Can new born baby drink goats milk formula instead of cows milk? Any recommended brand?
Hi, my baby gets constipated after drinking formula. Will goat milk be gentler on their tummy
If constipation is due to formula, you can explore goat milk formula as they tend to have more sn-2 PA, which in some studies have been shown to produce softer stools.
is it possible to test allergy to goat milk ? similar to testing for nut allergies?
If i switch right, transition period usually how many days ah? My baby quite sensitive 😅
Usually 7 days. You can follow this pattern: Day 1–2: 25% new Day 3–4: 50% new Day 5–6: 75% new Day 7: fully switched
Hi. Thanks for this. My LO stool sometimes green sometimes yellow… normal or milk issue?
Yes this can be normal depending on their diet.
Curious to know. Is Goat milk suitable for long term or just temporary to fix digestion?
Yes goat milk can be used long term if you pick the right brand that is nutritionally complete and suitable. Depending on what digestive issue one has, it is not a fix per say. But goats milk is generally easier to digest.
My baby has egg allergies, does that increase the chance of reacting to goat milk too??
They are not directly link. However, if your child has allergies, there is a higher chance for other allergies as well. Check with your paediatrician before making any changes to your child’s formula.
