When we were in Tagaytay, I bought a sweet pineapple. I let my 8-m.o baby to sip the juice of the ripe pineapple and surprisingly she liked it. Is it just ok?

As far as I've read in Breastfeeding Pinays, it's a rule of thumb that citrus fruits should be given to older infants, around 10-12 months because their digestive systems are not matured enough to process the acids that these fruits contain. Observe in a day if there are any peculiar reactions from your bub. Just opt for other juices instead, like watermelon, apple and pear juice for now. :) You can also check this source for a more informative read: http://wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com/citrusbabyfoodrecipes.htm

Yes, I think so! But not too much because it might upset their tummies. Pineapples are acidic and too much may cause digestive probs in babies less than a year old.
