When should I start applying lotion on my child’s skin?

I started applying when he was a newborn after his bath time because his skin was flaking. I've been using Mustela lotion since his birth and I love it. I buy them during baby fairs at about $14/$15 each and one bottle can last me for about 2 months.

I started applying baby lotion on my boy when my he was 3 months old. It all started because when i saw that he has dry skin. We sleep in air conditioning room as Singapore weather is so so hot! But it cause my baby skin to be very dry.

If your new born is having flaky/dry skin I would suggest oil massage after each bath. I thin layer of light oil would help keep the moisture in. You can also try chemical and fragrance free moisturiser.
