When is my child ready to be weaned from the bottle?

I think it depends on when you want to start training your child to drink from straw or cup. I have seen mommies who start to train her baby to drink from straw at 7 months old. As long as your baby are able to take in his milk without the use of bottle, you can stop using bottle. I personally never introduce bottle to my baby so he never drinks from bottle. I direct latch him whenever he wants milk. I'm planning to let him learn to drink from straw and cup when he is 7 months old.
