How serious is water retention?

When I pressed my lower legs and the skin did not bounced back as how i would thought. I dranked at least 1.5l of water everyday though. And lower backache is another disaster for me. Are all that symptoms normal? #pleasehelp

Elevate your legs every night :) Not on pillows but against the wall, almost 45 degrees. It helps subside the swell even though it comes back daily.
