What's this mark on my baby's cheeks?

Looks like eczema which my son has previously. If see doctor will most likely give steroid cream which i dont really like to use on small kids.. My son has a whole patch on his face previously and it cleared after i use aveeno baby eczema cream which contains no steroid. The cream dont work immediately though it cleared after applying for around 1 week or so
