Newborn babies should always sleep on their back. That's the only safe position for sleeping to prevent SIDS. My baby also used to vomit often, doctor said it's because of reflux & prescribed some meds. She doesn't vomit that much now. You can either go to doctor or make sure baby is upright while drinking and upright for half an hour after each feed.
