What are the Indian post-pregnancy beliefs and traditions?

i think there will be many such beliefs and traditions as per the different cultures. here are a few i know of.. 1. don't meet anyone till 40 days after the baby is born. 2. do not take a bath in the second half of the day 3. have at least 3 to 4 heavy ghee laddoos each day 4. do not switch on fan or AC for at least a month after baby is born, or do not sit under the fan directly 5. do not watch TV for 40 days 6. your SIL has to wash your breasts before the first time you feed your baby 7. you cannot be alone in the same room with your partner for 40 days after the birth
