Umbilical cord on the mothers side

What happens to the umbilical cord on the mothers side when the baby is already out. Do we just put it back in the mum?

It’s actually attached to the placenta not the mum. So it comes out when you deliver the placenta :)

The umbilical cord is attached to the placenta which will be removed after you give birth.

It is removing by the doctor.
