What is the difference in menses and miscarriage if you don't know if you are pregnant in the first place? thanks

Depending on which stage of pregnacies you are in. If you are in the VERY early stage (less then 6 weeks) it would be like normal menses. If late stage more then 6 weeks, less then 12 weeks. you may see a little lump. Red fleshy lump.
