We are planning to bring our two kids (8 years old and 6 months old) for a holiday overseas this December .. Don't wanna go to countries that are having cold /winter season as of now cos my 6 months old has sensitive nose. So countries like Korea , Hong Kong , Taiwan (rainy season) etc are not in out travel list for dec (will be next year). Besides Australia and New Zealand , any good recommendation for nice family overseas trip?

Depending on what you want to do, city holiday, nature holiday or beach holiday? Here are some my fav family vacay spots and recommended hotels in each place. Phuket - Marriott beach club. The kids pool has a slide and there is a kids club. There's a huge choice of restaurants, huge room service menu at the same price as restaurants (so you can eat in the dining room if the little uns are asleep), supermarket on site for all the essentials / if you want to cook in the villa, beautiful beach, amazing spa. Great beach and close enough to the airport. Boracay Island in the Philippines - Villa Caemilla Beach Boutique Hotel. The hotel is right on the beach in Station 3 (not too busy or noisy like many hotels in Station 2 - but close enough to walk to the many different restaurants and shops). Hoian - Vietnam - The Victoria Hotel The kids loved shaking the kids' menu dice to decide what to eat.

If cost is not an issue, you can consider Orlando, Florida. There's Disney and Universal Studio for the children, outlet shopping for you and your hubby. The temperatures should be quite comfortable, average high of low 20degrees, and average low around 10degrees. Not sure if this temperature range is alright for your baby.. just another suggestion for you to consider. :)

How far are you willing to travel? If around the South East Asian region, you can consider Lombok, Bandung (Indonesia), Phuket, Krabi (Thailand) or Langkawi, Malacca (Malaysia). My personal favourite is Los Angeles, USA. It is soooo pretty in December -- weather is still warm and you get a taste of a Californian Christmas.

Phuket is a very nice place to relax. Book a hotel near the juncelyon Mall. Not necessary need to head to the beach. Instead u can make use of the hotel pool facilities. Book a car with driver to bring u for sight seeing. Can visit the sea aquarium for the kid to hide from the heat.

You can try Mui Ne or Nha Trang in Vietnam. They are beach destinations and from October to April, the weather is sunny. I've been there and there are lots to do for both parents and kiddies. Besides the beaches, there are museums, water parks and alot if greenery.

I recommend Tokyo. It's very child friendly. Almost every metro stations have escalators or lift. It's also easy to locate baby room. If you can afford the time, do bring them to Tokyo Dome City. They can have lots of fun at Asobono (indoor playground).

Second all the tropical countries like Thailand, or Bali. Maldives would be a good option too. Or perhaps vietnam? You could go to Halong Bay? Australia and New Zealand are amazing too...

Egypt is nice too (but not sure the season now). I love the ancient and antique things there. Also the food are so delicious.

We are considering South Africa, as it's just 11 hours away or Maldives (4 hours) or Mauritius (7 hours)
