Hi mummies! I’m Gayle, and I’m excited to be online tonight with all of you. I see that there are already lots of questions to be answered, so I’ll try my best to respond to as many as I can. :) In the meantime, I would love to connect with you on Instagram (@littlemisspilates), and you can also find out more about what I do on my website (www.thepilateslife.co).

Is it ever possible to get a flat tummy after giving birth? Perhaps after some time of course. Thank you
Hi Jayel! It's definitely possible. Many of us experience the ‘kangaroo pouch’ after childbirth, especially after a C-section. A balanced, nutritious diet, consistent exercise and adequate sleep (try to rest whenever you can) will go a long way. Why is sleep a factor? When we don’t get enough rest, the stress hormone, Cortisol, rises in our body, which might make our body hold on to additional body weight.
