3.5 years old sleeping arrangements

My son does this too honestly, and I keep reminding myself it won’t last forever 🥹 Sometimes I try to just enjoy it because they’re only little for such a short time and they just want to feel close to us. What usually works for me is catching him during the “walk over” and gently saying, “Let’s go back to your bed, you’re sleeping in your own bed tonight.” I try not to make it a big emotional thing. We also made a little compromise where he gets one sleepover night with me on the weekend, and we countdown to it so he gets excited. It helped him understand there’s a time for mummy cuddles and a time for sleeping independently. I also explain that on weekdays everyone needs proper rest so we can wake up happy for school/work the next day. Consistency helped a lot over time ❤️
