I’m not pregnant anymore, but I still remember the trauma from giving birth to my second child. I suddenly became severely depressed, which was so different from when I had my first baby. I’m still not entirely sure what caused it, but during the first few days after giving birth, I actually didn’t want to see my baby. Thankfully, I had a really good support system at the time, so they let me rest and took care of me. I still don’t fully understand why I felt that way, but maybe part of it was because my second pregnancy was unplanned, and it happened just when I had started to really enjoy life as a mum. Sometimes I still feel guilty about it even now. Do you have any advice on how I can work through this guilt? :')
Hi Rynette I donnt knw if it's still relevant to the topic or not, but sometimes feel guilty about being pregnant with my second child. I love my first child so much, and my husband and I had always planned to have two children. But even so, I can’t help feeling really guilty and wondering if I’ll be able to share my love between both of them. Btw my first birth went very smoothly and was a vaginal delivery. I had prepared myself because everyone said it would be really painful, but somehow, I made it through!
Hi Rynette, my first birth was quite traumatic and I’m now pregnant again (we didn't plan to, but you know, miracle happens 😅) What traumatic for me was that right after the epidural procedure, I never thought that I wouldn't be able to feel my leg to right to my stomach. I know that was the main point... but just.. the sensation was... omg. I got so panic and screamed felt like cannot breath Do you think I can be mentally prepared for a better experience this time round? 🥲
Hi... I'm due October, and I’m already thinking about postpartum... what should I realistically expect in the first few days after giving birth? Especially when it comes to recovery, breastfeeding and sleep. In my family, a lot of the mums have struggled with low milk supply after giving birth. Is that normal? Can low milk supply be hereditary? I’d really like to know how I can prepare for breastfeeding
This isn't really a question... But I’m so excited to welcome my first baby, especially because I had a miscarriage before. But at the same time, I’m also feeling scared, and I don’t even know exactly what I’m scared of. The closer I get to my due date, the more anxious I feel. Please wish me well :')
What happens immediately after baby is born??? 32 weeks now Can someone walk me through what the first few hours are usually like? I don't really llike the feeling of walking into something i never knew before🥺
For parents who already have one child, how do you prepare your older child for the fact that Mummy will be in hospital for a few days? How do you explain that mummy will come home with a new baby?
Hi, a lot of people said if my first baby came very quickly, my second labour will be even faster? I’m a bit worried about this. My first was vaginal. Is it true?
how do we really know if it's time... How do contractions actually feel like? How do I tell the difference between Braxton Hicks and the real thing? 😅
Hi... in Sinngapore can husband actually come along to the labour room? What can he do during labour to support me? Other than telling me to breathe
