I started a weird habit

Do you remember the feeling of solace you get when you're a baby? The feeling of when you're drinking milk & sucking pacifier. After i had my 1st baby, it gets me so much solace by looking at my baby with his pacifier that i start sucking my own tongue & felt like a baby myself. Haha! When i'm in my comfort zone like putting baby to sleep, or pat/caress baby, i start sucking my own tongue. Am i just weird or does this happen to other moms? It's becoming a habit and i feel like a weirdo since i'm the mom now and not the baby

Honestly I think this is more common than people admit, especially in those quiet, cozy moments when you're settling baby down and everything feels so calm and safe. A few of my mum friends mentioned similar things, like they suddenly understood why babies find sucking so soothing, and some of them caught themselves doing little self-soothing things too without even realising it. It makes sense lah, because you're in this deeply nurturing headspace and your body just responds to that same comfort. You are definitely not a weirdo, you're just a mum who is very tuned in to her baby.
