Oh, you're definitely not alone, sciatica in the second trimester is super common, actually. The weight shift and how your body's trying to stabilise your pelvis just puts a lot of pressure on that nerve, so it makes sense you're feeling it now. A few things have really helped people I know: daily stretching (even gentle ones), warm baths, and prenatal yoga seem to make the biggest difference, though honestly, some days they work better than others. Someone in my mum group swore by using a pool if she could access one, because the water takes so much pressure off. Hot and cold compresses also helped her manage the sharper days. The good news is that for a lot of mums, it does ease up within a month or so once your body adjusts, though everyone's timeline is a bit different. That said, it's definitely worth checking in with your doctor or a physio who specialises in pregnancy, they can give you specific stretches tailored to what's triggering yours, and rule out anything else going on. Hoping it settles down for you soon!

Yes, unfortunately sciatica can happen during pregnancy and you're definitely not alone. ❤️ As baby grows, changes in posture, weight distribution, and pressure on the sciatic nerve can cause pain that shoots from the lower back or buttock down the leg. Some mums find gentle stretching, prenatal yoga, warm compresses, and avoiding sitting or standing in one position for too long can help. If the pain is severe, causing weakness, numbness, or making it difficult to walk, do mention it to your OB so they can assess it properly. Hope you get some relief soon, mama! Pregnancy while chasing after a toddler is hard enough without sciatica on top of it. 🫂💕
