Umbilical cord

Hindi po, hindi siya binabasa ng baby habang nagliliguan, the umbilical cord stump is separate from the baby's body and stays dry na lang talaga. A few of us moms, we just make sure na ang water doesn't directly splash on the cord area, at minsan we cover it with a clean dry cloth or gauze while bathing, tapos we pat it dry agad after. But honestly, kung medyo mamasa man, wala naman problema, the important thing is na it dries well afterward, kaya mag-air dry or dab it with a clean cloth. If you're worried about infection or anything unusual sa cord area though, better check with your pedia just to be safe!
