While it may be common for pregnant women to crave for something, I don't believe when they say that it will affect the baby's personality or appearance. I love Batangas' sinukmani with latik when I was pregnant (almost the same color as kalamay) and my relatives teased me that my baby will be dark because of it. My baby's skin color is kayumanggi, but not really dark.
I believe in paglilihi. It's normal for pregnant women to feel certain food cravings, as well as food aversion. However, I don't really believe that the color of what you frequently eat affects your baby's physicality or personality. Genetics is mainly responsible for it. :)

Yes, paglilihi is true. Blame it to the hormones. But in my entire pregnancy, I didn't feel paglilihi to a certain food. It felt like I love to eat everything LOL
Not all mommies experienced paglilihe. But l don't believe that it does affect baby's personality and appearance.
