Why aren't we using perineal warm pack instead of putting ourselves thru vaginal tears and stitches?

Perineal warm packs are warm towels placed between the vaginal and anus to help stretching during childbirth. Women who had warm packs were significantly less likely to say they had “bad pain” giving birth (25% vs 31%) or “the worst in my life” (34% vs 51%) compared with women who did not receive the warm packs. On the first and second day after the birth women also reported less pain in their perineum. Almost the same number of women and midwives (80%) felt that the warm packs reduced perineal pain during the birth. The majority of women (85.7%) said they would like to use perineal warm packs again for their next birth and similarly would recommend them to friends (86.1%). Why do we not have this option in singapore? https://www.pregnancy.com.au/perineal-warm-packs-old-wives-tales-no-longer/
