is my baby stool color normal?

For the past 2 days, my baby's stool color hasn't been normal... Several times it was pale (kind of gray/white)... Then this morning it had a hint of blood/red color. But my in-laws assured me that it's normal. Maybe they ate something red. I'm not sure, but I feel uncomfortable going against my in-laws' words. Has anyone experienced the same thing here?
