worry can't get back my security deposit

Hi, not sure is appropriate to ask this question over here but I need some advise. Can a landlord force tenant to pay for cleaning expenses ($500) while the tenants want to clean up by themselves? I can engage my own cleaner which cost alot cheaper. One month security deposit holded by landlord.

Professional cleaning service is what is expected at the end of a lease and the price is usually between $350-600 for this. When our tenants left as they could not commission cleaning service due to Circuit breaker they left us $400

Ic. May I know what is ur house type. Mine is only 3 room flat about 600sqft. Charges for $500 i find it expensive. I found other professional cleaner quote me only $288-$300. But landlord insist wan me to pay $500.
