Very heavy period after giving birth

Is it normal that once you got your period back after giving birth, (not lochia) it’s very heavy. I don’t remember having this heavy period before.

It really depends on the person I think. I only got my period back aft I reduced breastfeeding due to work at 6 months. And while it was more than what I experienced before getting pregnant, it tapered off. By the 2nd month, it was back to my normal flow so I was alr using the ultra slim pad from day 1. But tt said I'm not sure if natural birth or csect wld have any influence on our periods. I had elective csect btw.

YES!! I just had my first period recently at 3 months PP and gosh…. I’ve nvr bled so much in all my periods before… I was quite shock🤣
