Always act and decide as a unit, and be firm with it when you talk to your inlaws. If you two are not ready yet, then that's just how it is. Stay strong about it. And don't worry. Eventually they'll understand. They're just overly excited is all!
I think the best solution would be for you to sit them (in-laws) down and have an open conversation about your plans of having a child. I am sure they will be able to see it from your point of view thereafter and stop with the questioning. :)
Its better for u to ignore such questionings and comments. Its ur life and live according to ur choice and don't bother abt others because you and your husband are going to take up the responsibility of the child in future not your relatives
Most parents would love to have grandchildren to play with, but with a bit of humor you can start reminding them the other side of having kids - tantrums, changing diaper and feeding. That might get them off this topic

Sometimes its just a new milestone that they look forward to in their old age. give them a 'timeline' and maybe that will give them when to expect the news!
No need to justify your decisions. Smile, and politely brush it off by letting them know that this is a matter between you and your husband.
Tell them that it's your marriage and not theirs, and you're doing what you think is best.
Just let them be. Their worries will never be your worries.
thanks
