Sushi can be eaten or not ??

Hi mummy .. If I want to eat sushi , can I eat or not cause my family in-law said is not good to eat sushi .. Please help me :)

I ate the cooked sushi like unagi sushi and the cooked prawn sushi. Did not touch the raw stuff
