Not nuh but kkh. And yes youll feel very scared and anxious when they wheel you to the operating theatre. I was surprised there were alot of people in the OT. Mine epidural failed cs i can still feel when they test poke me. So had to do spinal anaesthesia. Thank god it worked, didnt feel anything but! Heads up msot cases they will push oush on your chest, ribs area to push baby out! It was so so rough i really couldnt breathe during that time. Baby out within 30 mins or so. And i kept puking after baby out. Youll be put under observation ward for 1hour then wheeled to ward. You will feel numb the first few hours and dont panic when you cannot move your leg at all. Itll wear off the next day. Mine pain started like few hrs after wheeled back to ward. Asked for pain killer. Honestly, the pain was 10/10 for me. I have low pain tolerance and it was the worst. Esp when they ask to walk the next day. The pain is beyond words. Use a binder, adjust your bed height all the way to the lowest and your bed to almost sittiing position then slolwy move and get off bed. The first walk is super super painful
Did a emergency csec at NUH. The overall atmosphere by the operating team was quite relaxed, which is a good thing as everyone worked well together. There'll be a drape over u so u won't be able to see anything. Yes will push the doctor pushing down to push the baby out. After that, doc will sew u up, and you'll be wheeled to another area for monitoring. Btw, coz I was on epidural, I shivered a lot. That's a common side effect, no need to worry. Once they think you're OK, you'll be wheeled back to your bed. Overall I had a pretty good experience for the csec itself. Healing took a while coz it's a major op after all. No post natal massage until 3 weeks after. Will need to monitor wound for infection. Roll to your side to get up coz it'll hurt.
I did csect too. they pushed your chest ribs area that part is definitely true. but apart being nervous, otherwise you shouldn't feel any pain at all. it is only after 1 or 2 days. keep everything all nearby you if you have slightly lesser help to prevent yourself from stretching. And bring a small squishy pillow or bolster that is enough to "hug" your bottom of tummy.. a trick I learnt is after csect when you come down from bed every single time, bring your bed to the lowest, one hand use the small pillow to hug your tummy. sort of like don't let your tummy fall against the gravity. then while doing so, slowly stand up. trust me. it reduces the pain.
don't worry la. just remember many mummies have gone through C sects with success. after the anesthesia you can't feel anything on the lower half of your body, so just relax and let the doctors settle everything. baby comes out maybe in 10-15min the long part is the stitching. but that is also relaxing cos you just lie there and wait can't feel anything. I wished I had my phone so can watch movie cos it got a bit boring waiting
I did my C section at 38 weeks. It’s not painful during the surgery. But can me intimidating. But you be fine. The pain kicks in on the 2nd day.
2 c section and i am super fine.. nothing about to worry just enjoy your pregnancy journey ❤️
