First Mother's Day

I had absolutely nothing for my 1st Mother’s Day. However that’s becoz it’s the 1st one without my late mum around so I let it slide though I voiced my disappointment thereafter. For the 2nd one that just passed, he slept till past noon as usual and just ordered expensive dinner for us that’s all. It sucks when I see other people’s post of husband waking up early to cook breakfast, cook dinner, make appreciative gifts etc. On the contrary, for his 1st Father’s Day, I bought a cupcake and decorated it with Happy Father’s Day icing on a plate, brought my LO to wake him up with that surprise and photo taking and for the 2nd one I already ordered a customized book with our LO name and him in the story along with a dedication which will arrive in early June. This despite the fact that he’s not involved much is our joint parenting responsibilities. I feel so unloved and unappreciated. 😢
