Hey mama, yes some light spotting can happen when using pills vaginally, especially in the first trimester. The cervix is more sensitive during pregnancy, so inserting the pill can sometimes cause a bit of irritation or slight bleeding.
That said, it’s still something to keep an eye on. If it’s just light spotting and stops, it’s usually not a concern. But if the bleeding becomes heavier like a period, has clots, or comes with cramps or pain, it’s best to contact your OB as soon as you can.
