Caesarean / C-sect
Hello mummies!! Just wanna ask, if we opt for c-sect, are we able to choose the date? Or doctors choose for me? Do i get to have a say in this??
You generally have a say unless you require csect for medical reasons - then it's always safe to follow your gynae's cue. Do note that choosing your own date and time will incur extra charges on top of csect costs. I discussed with my gynae and took up his suggested date and timing, after consulting briefly with a fengshui master (if this is your main concern).

Hey mama, In my personal opinion, sometimes, when it comes to such decisions, the first thing is ask myself is how much it means to me and how much do I want it. This creates the basis of my ‘Why’ It also pushes me the extra mile. If you really want to try for a natural birth, I’d say really equip yourself with all the knowledge that you can get your hands on and then weigh out your options. Join groups with fellow mamas whose experiences will help you make better choices for yourself. Most importantly, ask questions. Doctors are not there to make decisions for us, they’re there to make decisions WITH us. You know your body better than any doctor. Whatever you decide will then be based on what you know, what you’ve found out and you’ll be more confident with the decision because it’s an informed choice. Im not saying any way to birth is bad - I’m just saying if we birth without knowing what our choices are and what each option involved and we haven’t really thought or reflected about
usually will be able to choose unless there are complications
