Could baby hurt his own soft spot? Shld i wear back his mittens

Hello mummies. Recently i stop letting my baby wear mittens. But he kept scratching his head when he is frustrated or sleepy until white flakes appear all over his head. I always noticed red patches around his soft spot area from all rubbing and scratching. Does ur baby does this? Is it possible that he might hurt his own soft spot? Should i let him wear back his mittens? Some advise not to let baby wear mittens for too long as they need to explore

Yup, my baby did tt when he was a few months old, so I kept his mittens on until 2 month plus. Eventually it'll taper off and he won't scratch until red raw tt kind. Just keep his nails trimmed regularly and apply moisturiser on his face and head

I m facing the same prob w my 2mo. Confinement nanny said it’s ok to remove after 1mo but I still keep them on when baby is sleeping at night and only remove in the day
