Air purifier shouldn’t be an issue. For candles, I guess it depends on the scent (baby may be sensitive to some of them) and how much smoke it produces. Plus, the flame also needs oxygen to keep burning and carbon dioxide is produced, so keep your windows open to ensure baby gets enough oxygen.

Air purifier yes of course but not candle as it can be hazardous for the new born

Not a parent yet but I would not suggest candle. fire hazard if it topples.
