Hey mummies, this is my first pregnancy, 8 weeks in and i’ve been researching online and also check with my gynae if being tired during the first trimester is normal, and the answer is yes. I feel you that somedays you got so tired that you just want to sleep and then at night i couldn’t so i took Bonjesta. However, this Bonjesta hit me hard like a rock because of the timing i took it. Bonjesta need to take on empty stomach to be highly effective. So i tried taking before meal and after meal, both gave me a two different effect. Before meal, 1/2 an hour later i look super sleepy and unable to focus on my food and just want to sleep. If i fight with it, i just feel super high. However if i took it after meal, which is best to be 2 hours after meal, then it sometimes hit 12am and then the drowsy will drag till the very next causing me to be super sleepy in the day. So now i try to avoid bonjesta if i can control. Some ways to control i feel it helps me is: - eat pink lady apple (can get from fairprice/ntuc), it give a very tart and sweet taste. Try it. - deep breathing when i start the nausea and try slow walk around the house. I hope this helps because it has help me a lot.

Welcome to second pregnancy life, somehow always feel more tired than the first one because now got a toddler to chase after somemore right! The nausea and lethargy at 9 weeks is super normal lah, your body is working really hard to grow the baby so just rest as much as you can and don't feel guilty about sleeping twice a day. For the nausea try eating small frequent meals instead of big ones, plain crackers or bread before getting out of bed in the morning really helps, and if it's getting really bad until you cannot keep food down then go see your gynae and ask for anti-nausea medication because no need to suffer so much one! 🤍
