no need panic once your waterbag burst. chill and relax. usually when waterbag burst the contraction does not start immediately. its takes time. just do what u need to do first such as packing maternity bag. change your clothes put on pad. usually when u go hosp they check if waterbag burst. they will start on antibiotic in case of infection. then again u still need to see if u dilated or got contraction.

I think how fast one dilates after water bag breaks is hard to predict. Some don't even dilate fully till the next day. I would say a few hours of delay after water bag breaks is fine unless it's accompanied by contractions

My bag broke last year at 4am. I felt slight contractions but it was bearable like menses cramps. I only delivered at 8pm that night because i dilated so slowly, it was like 1-2 cm every 2-3 hours.

Time the contractions instead. You may or may not experience waterbag breaking too, mine didn’t break even past EDD. The nurse had to manually help me break my waterbag before labour.

After my water bag broke, I dilated very fast! Within 2 hours I delivered my baby already :) So, I would suggest to go hospital after your water bag breaks. Don’t take the risk!

Yes! First labour!

if bleed first you can take your time within 6 hours. if water broke, immediately has to go hospital.
